Our ”Prince of Pasta” Peter Robertson will tackle Cioppino. It may seem daunting, but this traditional San Franciscan fish stew from the fisherman of the early 1800’s is actually fast and simple. Peter will make three versions for three different occasions and tastes, served over fresh RP’s pasta, of course. Don’t wear white and we’ll provide the aprons!
I know I have not posted to the blog much in the last few months but we have been going through a whirl wind of activity. RP’s hired a new President for the company, Richard Ciurczak, in January of 2009. I had been acting as president and ceo for 14 years and felt it was time to share in the fun. Now I can begin the new journey of growing the company with a little help.
RP’s closed it’s cafe, the Fork & Spoon, on December 22nd of 2008. We were sad to see it go but it was best for everybody here at the factory. It was taking too much energy out of our main focus of making the best fresh pasta in the Midwest. We do not have any plans to reopen it. We are planning on having more cold food options to take away this summer. Maybe even with the patio out on nice days.
